Blackra1n + Blacksn0w

Just tried to jailbreak my mom’s iPhone. I’m very surprised that it’s so easy to use unlike Pwnage Tool and Redsn0w. On Pwnage Tool, you will have to restore your iPhone and find the specific firmware for it. Redsn0w does the same thing but there’s no need to restore your iPhone, while, Blackra1n is like a 1-click jailbreaking solution and it works with the latest firmware 3.1.2 and unlocks the latest baseband 5.11.07
. No need to restore your iPhone and you can keep all your data intact. One more amazing thing is it enables tethering on your iPhone. You can now share your iPhone’s network to your computer. Two ways to tether is connecting your iPhone to your computer via USB cable or just connect with your computer wirelessly via bluetooth. I haven’t tried how tethering works right now, but be careful, your carrier will charge you for all the datas being downloaded and uploaded. Here in Japan all iPhones have unlimited data plans, I’m just not sure if they’ll charge me for it. Tethering is not yet approved by Softbank. I’ll post another article on how I jailbroke the iPhone and how it all turned out.
You can find Blackra1n here. Click your OS logo and it will start downloading right away. Launch the Blackra1n application on your iPhone and start installing Cydia or Blacksn0w or Rock (an alternative to Cydia). Caution! Always remember to back up your phone.
